TR.A.K.YA KALKINMA DERNEGI (TRAKYA DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION) has been founded in 20 November 2010 as a non political, nongovernmental, un profit organisation. TKD is registered at Edirne city governorship with registration number of 22-008-14/8053. TKD is the only Turkish organisation which has been established the first spesific development program due to Low Carbon Economy approach and the only Turkish association in regards of development of Africa. So it is neither a humanetarian nor a granting organisation.
