OLYMPIC CHAMPION METE GAZOZ IS NOW THE WORLD CHAMPION!

Archer Mete Gazoz became the men s classical bow champion at the World Archery Championship held in Berlin, the capital of Germany.

Gazoz won the gold medal by beating Canadian rival Eric Peters 6-4 in the final.

In the semi-finals, Gazoz defeated Brazilian Marcus D Almedia, who ranked first in the world classification, 7-3, and defeated Chilean Ricardo Soto 6-2 in the quarter-finals.

Mete Gazoz is in the 12th place in the world classification.
