FREDDY HURRICANE NIGHTMARE IN SOUTHEAST AFRICA
The climate crisis, which causes extreme weather events such as floods, droughts, tornadoes and hurricanes to be more frequent, prolonged and severe, continues to show its effects in the countries of Malawi, Mozambique and Madagascar located in the southeast of Africa.
It has been reported that the death toll in the floods and landslides caused by Hurricane Freddy, which has been effective in these countries for about a month, has exceeded the death of 1,000 people. According to official figures, 1,030 people died in Malawi, 80 people in Mozambique and 24 people in Madagascar.
