Blaise Diagne International Airport officially opened after more than a decade of development and delays.
The airport is initially able to handle three million passengers per year, rising to 10 million per annum. This makes it one of Africa’s highest-capacity airports.
Blaise Diagne International is located in Diass, around 40km east of Dakar. It is managed by the Operating Company, a consortium composed of Turkish Limak, Summa and the AIBD S.A. (a Senegalese government entity).
