TR.A.K.YA DEVELOPMENT ASSOCIATION (TR: Thrace, A: Africa, K: Development, YA: New Breakthrough) is a non-profit, apolitical civil society organization established on October 20, 2010, with registration number 22-008-14/8053 and approval from the Edirne Governorship Associations Desk. TR.A.K.YA Development Association is the first and only association in Türkiye that has prepared a regional development plan based on the low-carbon economy concept and focused on the development of Africa with this understanding. Therefore, TKD is not a donation, aid, or business association organization. In short, TKD is a think-tank mechanism, a member of the United Nations Global Compact Network, a consultant member of the Economic and Social Affairs Department, and a methodology development member of the Global Impact Investors Network, etc. Its activities have been terminated by us due to the lack of registration by Thracian institutions.

WHAT WE DO:

1. We provide financial support to underprivileged young girls attending schools in Togo.

2. We establish libraries for students and the public.

3. We supply furniture to schools.

4. We provide scholarships to 10 primary school-aged girls from each region.

5. We build schools.

6. We organize school adaptation programs for girls in rural areas.

7. We bring education to students with disabilities.

8. We organize educational activities in all schools regardless of gender.

9. We organize cultural events.


WHAT ARE WE AIMING FOR?

1. To raise awareness throughout Togo and the West African Economic Zone (ECOWAS) by becoming a member of the United Nations Department of Economic and Social Affairs (UN-ECOSOG/DESA) network of associations.

2. To ensure that all educational activities, strategies, and programs conducted in Togo and throughout ECOWAS are planned in light of the United Nations Global Compact principles by becoming a member of these principles.

3. To eliminate all settlements without schools and schools lacking adequate equipment throughout Togo by developing joint projects with impact investors and networks.

4. To raise literacy, vocational, and higher education levels to 100%, especially for Togolese girls.
